Yard Work is Beautiful in Slow Motion - Lowe's video for the fall season

A team of Lowe's took a high-speed camera (Phantom Flex) and filmed everyday yard work in slow motion. At 2,500 frames per second the action virtually freezes in time, allowing a glimpse of just how spectacular the tools we use every day can be. The Phantom camera records around 80x slower than a typical video camera.

- A chainsaw rips through wood and spits out sawdust, each individual shaving sent flying through the air.

- A trimmer chews up grass, captured in close-up macro focus.

- Water elegantly emerges from a garden hose with each droplet defined, yet cascades like a river from a pressure washer.

- Fallen leaves colorfully lilt through the air when a leaf blower cleans them off a lawn and grass seed spreads like nothing you have seen before as we prepare our yard for winter.

So take a closer look at what yard work really looks like, and get inspired to tackle your own fall projects. Prep, seed, prune, plant, paint, clean, wash -- whatever is on your list.
